30 March 2021. O1 Properties took part in this year’s Earth Hour, led by the Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF). The Company was participating in Earth Hour for the tenth time. O1 Properties marked the occasion by turning off external lighting at all of the company’s business centres for one hour from 20:30 on 27 March.
Earth Hour is an annual high-profile global event, designed to focus international attention on the issue of natural resource depletion on Planet Earth. Earth Hour was held in Russia for the 15th time in 2020. This year’s special theme is openness of environmental information, under the slogan “Open up!”
O1 Properties is committed to addressing environmental issues and reducing negative impact on nature due to the urban environment as part of its policy of corporate social responsibility. O1 Properties was among the first in Moscow to certify its business centres to the internationally recognised BREEAM environmental standard and has led the way with separate waste collection. More than 598,000 square metres of space at company properties are now BREEAM certified.
O1 Properties has taken part in Earth Hour every year since 2011.
