The iCUBE business centre, owned and operated by O1 Properties, is a prizewinner at the Green Property Awards. The Awards are the first in Russia to evaluate projects that implement environmental measures and are certified for environmental performance.
iCUBE won the nomination “Business Centre of the Year up to 30,000 sq m”. Jury voting also gave iCUBE the most points among all entrants with BREEAM certificates, making the business centre “BREEAM Project of the Year”.
iCUBE is located in walking distance of Profsoyuznaya metro station in south-central Moscow. Convenient transport links with Leninsky and Nakhimovsky prospects ensure optimal transport access. iCUBE is certified to the international environmental performance standards BREEAM In-Use Parts 1 and 2 with respective ratings “Very Good” and “Excellent”.
The key feature of iCUBE is its “green” roof, which not only enhances aesthetic qualities of the building (including for residents of nearby apartment blocks) but also offers environmental advantages, improving sound insulation and reducing the heat-island effect. Common-use areas inside the building are decorated using natural materials. Other environmental features of iCUBE include sound-absorbing panels around engineering systems, displacement ventilation and air recovery, policies to control and reduce water and energy consumption, separate waste collection, and regular preventive inspections and cleaning of engineering systems (removal of legionella). A charging station for electric vehicles in the business centre grounds serves local residents as well as the staff of iCUBE tenants.
The Green Property Awards are the first independent awards in Russia committed to identifying and commending high-quality real estate projects that use technology to achieve high standards of energy efficiency, environmental friendliness and sustainability for users. The Awards also identify property management companies that are working successfully on green projects.
O1 Properties is committed to investing in environmentally responsible approaches to property and property management, reducing negative impact of the city on the environment and ensuring sustainable development of its business centre portfolio in the long term.
