September 19, 2019. The Ducat Place III business centre, owned and managed by O1 Properties, took first prize among Moscow business centres in the competition, Green Awards: High Performance Building 2019. The Awards were part of the 13th PROESTATE International Investment Forum, held with the support of the Russian Guild of Managers and Developers, the Council for Environmental Construction and the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation.
The Green Awards competition is designed to encourage greater use of advanced energy-saving and other environmentally efficient systems in buildings, and to highlight the advantages, which such systems offer.
Ducat Place III is located near Mayakovskaya metro station in central Moscow. It was designed using an innovative architectural concept, with panoramic glazing. The building was one of the first in the Russian capital to obtain BREEAM environmental certification. Its environment system includes: separate waste collection; systems to maximize visual, acoustic, and thermal comfort; and an energy-saving regime. The grounds of the business centre have been landscaped and planted, and its facilities include an up-to-date bilingual kindergarten.
O1 Properties implements environmentally efficient technologies at its business centres and carries out certification of facilities to BREEAM standards as part of its sustainable development strategy. As of September 2019, six of the operating business centres of O1 Properties and one of the Company’s development projects have BREEAM certificates.
Also in September, O1 Properties was a prize winner in the Climate Development Leader awards, held as part of the Climate Forum of Cities (a sustainable development event, held annually with the support of the Moscow City Government).
